L0 - Introduction to ISS

Dear students,

This is lesson 0, where your teachers will go through with you the following important information:

The Teaching Blog at http://sst2018-iss.blogspot.sg
is where you have a one-stop link to all the information about ISS.

The Googlesite at https://sites.google.com/a/s2017.sst.edu.sg/irs/
where you will see:
(a) Assessment Rubrics (Please note that there will be minor changes to the rubrics before the deadline of your submission of your written and multimedia reports)
(b) Templates for various tasks
(c) Sample Blogs, Posters and video presentations

The Gantt chart attached below:
is the progression of your ISS programme. However, as there are holidays in-between, some of the lessons may be affected. However, I would expect you to complete all the key milestones.
If you spend time outside the official hours, it can still be counted within the ISS programme and log in as a lesson within your log book.

The deployment of classes to various labs are also shown below: (updated 7 Jan 2018)

Please note that some classes need to go to different labs on different days.
The class code is given as 2X, where X stands for your class number.

There are a few deadlines that you must be aware of:
(a) Group Research proposal draft: T1W3 day 1 or T1W2 day 4 (feedback will be provided)
(b) Group Research proposal final: T1W3 day 4 (penalties if late) (20%)
(c) First draft: T1W7 day 4 (feedback will be provided)
(d) Final draft: T1W8 day 4 (penalties if late) (40%)
(e) Peer Appraisal & Insight and Reflection: T1W9 day 1 (20%)
(f) Submission of Blog, Video, Poster and Log Book: T1W9 day 4 (20%)
Late submissions will not receive any marks higher than the lowest score.

Once, you are clear, we shall proceed with Lesson 1.
